Neissa Fils

Neissa Fils is a 17 year old junior at Bronx International Highschool, a school of the Morris Campus Highschool in the Bronx. She was born in Haiti and came to the United States a year and a half go. Since then Neissa has been very active in the campus wide Morris student leadership council. The Morris Student Leadership Council is a student led group that works to promote restorative justice and campus unity at Morris Campus while developing student’s leadership and political education through workshops trainings, meetings and trips. Through the Morris Campus she has become a youth leader at Sistas and Brothas United and represents SBU at different local, citywide and national coalitions that fight for education reform and an end to the school to prison pipeline. She aspires to be a doctor and a senator.
